Márton Nagy: artificial intelligence is inevitable
Artificial intelligence (AI) will have an inevitable and increasingly important role, but at the same time, everyone in the global economy is protecting their own technology, and trade wars are hindering technological development, Minister of National Economy Márton Nagy said at a conference in Budapest on Tuesday.
At the Coalitions Day 2024 event, the minister stated that AI is increasingly the central element of the conflict between the United States and China, while the EU is gradually falling apart, and Europe lags behind China and the United States in digitization and AI developments.
He pointed out: in the coming years, artificial intelligence could be one of the main driving forces of the economy. Hungary shows an open and pragmatic attitude towards global challenges, keeping in mind the national interest, he said.
According to the head of the ministry, the development of the Hungarian digital infrastructure provides favorable foundations for the digital transformation. Digitalization progress in Hungary faces many challenges, in the field of technological infrastructure, digital skills, or in the digitalization of businesses.
