Márton Nagy: Hungary is building an industrial-based economy
Hungary is building an industrial-based economy, concentrating on the manufacturing industry – said the Minister of Economic Development at the award ceremony of the Responsible Employer of the Year 2023 competition on Monday in Budapest.
Márton Nagy explained that, thanks to the inflow of direct working capital (FDI), by 2030, the ratio of exports to GDP could increase from the current 70 to 100 percent, so Hungary could become a leader in the world based on the openness of the manufacturing industry.
The minister reminded: in a work-based economy, the government’s emphasis is not on aid, but on the creation of jobs, on everyone having an income through work. The country faces many challenges in which entrepreneurs are counted on, he said, adding that the government is working on the infrastructural developments with which Hungary can continue to serve businesses.
