Nagy István: Hungary is on a good way in food security
Due to the pandemic, the issue of food security and food self-sufficiency has significantly increased, and Hungary is well on its way, said Minister of Agriculture Nagy István at the Planet Budapest 2021 Sustainability Expo and World Meeting on Tuesday at the Hungexpo Budapest Fair Center.

Sustainability of food systems is important
The head of the ministry said at the “Sustainability in the Post-Covid World” section meeting that the pandemic is having a dramatic impact on people’s lives worldwide, amplifying some trends both domestically and globally, such as digitization, e-commerce, the importance of locally produced food, and ensuring short supply chains.
