István Nagy: we currently have 89 Hungarikums, which we are proud of
When the value and identity crisis rages again in the world, we are proud of our life-giving traditions, our Christian roots that give us our identity, our culture that feeds on it, and our unique mother tongue – declared Minister of Agriculture István Nagy at the Hungarikum Awards Gala in Kecskemét on Friday.
According to the announcement of the Ministry of Agriculture on Friday evening, the head of the ministry highlighted in his welcoming speech that Hungarians are valuable, special and successful because they are about being Hungarian, i.e. about us, the community of a nation, our dreams, our way of thinking, our creativity, our ingenuity, our diligence, the about our demand for quality. They show something of the typical Hungarian character, they bring fame to our inimitable achievements, he added.
István Nagy explained that in the local, settlement, county, landscape unit and sector value repositories, the Hungarian Valuables and the Hungaricumok
In his collection, food and folk art heritage, as well as natural, cultural and built environmental value, fit well together. Our goal is that as many of our local values as possible are known and accepted nationally and internationally, and the most excellent ones receive the Hungarian certification.
