Nagy István: the largest apple growing center in the country will be established in Újfehértó, Szabolcs County
Nagy István emphasized that the facility called Szabolcsi Alma Centrum will be located in the most significant apple-growing area of Hungary, in the area of the Research Institute for Fruit and Ornamental Plant Production with a long history.
The logistics and research center, which also has storage, sorting and packaging infrastructure, will be able to sell about 16,000 tons of food and 4,000 tons of industrial apples and other fruits, with a capacity of 9,000 tons, the head of the ministry said. (MTI)
