Nagy István: the Ministry of Agriculture supports the collection of signatures for the conservation of EU agricultural resources
The Ministry of Agriculture supports the collection of signatures for the conservation of EU agricultural resources that was initiated by the National Agricultural Chamber (NAK) and the Association of Hungarian Farmers (Magosz) for preserving the level of EU agricultural resources.
Nagy István, Minister of Agriculture said on Tuesday at a press conference in Budapest that the European Commission would significantly reduce the budget for the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) after 2020. The tighter resources would, among other things, prevent the development of the sector, and the livelihood of the rural population would also be in a difficult situation. This is totally unacceptable because it would not only affect the future of the sector, but the whole country. (MTI)
