Nagy István: the aim is to reach seven million animals in the rabbit sector
The Ministry of Agriculture (AM) and the Rabbit Product Board aim to bring domestic producers to 7 million animals by 2022 compared to the current 4-4.5 million rabbits – the Minister of Agriculture said in Baja.
Nagy István said at the handover ceremony of Tetrabbit Kft’s new packaging warehouse that 2018 was a turning point in the Hungarian rabbit industry when it emerged from the crisis that lasted for years.
The head of the ministry recalled that the sector has been endangered by animal health problems in recent years. The Ministry of Agriculture has worked hard to solve the crisis: extending vaccine subsidies and introducing veterinary services. (MTI)
