Nagy István: the government provides 600 million HUF this year to support beekeepers
This year, the government will provide six hundred million forints to preserve the health status of bee colonies, for which beekeepers can submit their applications electronically in the summer – Nagy István, Minister of Agriculture said at a press conference held on the occasion of Bee’s Day in Budapest.
The head of the ministry added that the subsidy amount was 500 HUF per bee family, which could be requested by the members of the National Beekeeping Association (OMME). In addition, the ministry has developed the concept of a follow-up system, including an online spray journal, for the increased control of veterinary medicinal products used in bees and veterinary medicinal products.
