Local markets are open, but taking precautions has key importance
Local markets play a key role in safe food supply, so their operation is extremely important during the coronavirus epidemic, but it is also important for retailers and buyers to take precautions – Nagy István, Minister of Agriculture told MTI on Tuesday. h2>
The Minister urges local governments to promote market opening and precautionary measures to ensure that consumers are not concentrated at the same time and that high-quality Hungarian food to be available to everyone, not by closing down, but by opening markets more flexibly. Trading in the markets is beneficial to both producers and consumers, as fresh, healthy domestic goods reach consumers directly – the ministry leader said. (MTI)
