Great progress has been made: Ukrainian grain exports may soon restart
As a result of the negotiations between Moscow and Kyiv, the coordination center for the resumption of Ukrainian grain exports was opened in Istanbul on Wednesday. Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar expressed in his speech at the official opening ceremony that the center offered hope for a solution to the food crisis.

Ukrainian grain exports may soon restart
Agreements signed in Istanbul on July 22 by Russia and Ukraine, brokered by the UN and Turkey, set up “safe corridors” to allow merchant ships to travel through the Black Sea. Moscow and Kyiv have pledged not to attack these ships.
In the meantime, the three Ukrainian ports designated for grain export – in Odessa, Chornomorsk and Pivdenny – were put into operation again. Preparations are currently underway for the first shipment after the start of the war to safely leave Ukraine via the Black Sea.
