Revolut came up with a big pitch
Audi’s own factory team will debut in Formula 1 in 2026, and it already has a strong supporter behind it: the global fintech giant with over 60 million customers, Revolut, will be the team’s naming partner.
Revolut announced in an official statement that it has signed a strategic agreement with the Audi team, which will enter Formula 1 in 2026. The partnership is not only a milestone in terms of branding: Revolut will appear as the team’s namesake, but also the shared goal of taking the fan experience to a new level – both on and off the track.
New experiences on race weekends
A key element of the agreement is to offer new types of connectivity options for motorsport fans through Revolut’s innovative platform. The aim of the collaboration is to enable the next generation of Formula 1 audiences – especially digitally active young people – to enjoy personalized experiences on race weekends. Exclusive content, interactive features and special customer programs are also planned for Revolut users.
Revolut Business in the pit lane
The financial operations of Audi’s new team will be closely integrated with Revolut Business solutions, with the financial service provider also playing a role in making the team’s financial operations more efficient. Meanwhile, fans will benefit directly from Revolut: they will be offered fast and smooth payment solutions for official Audi team merchandise, complemented by a premium customer experience.
In the world’s most popular sport
Formula 1 remains one of the world’s biggest sporting events: in 2024, it was followed by around 820 million fans worldwide, and 1.6 billion television viewers tuned in to the races during the season. Audi’s entry and Revolut’s integration are not only a significant development from a business perspective, but also from a sports strategy perspective, indicating that the technology and financial sectors are becoming increasingly intertwined with the global sports market.
