Britain is seeking membership in CPTPP
Foreign trade minister Liz Truss is said to be formally submitting London’s application for membership on Monday, just a year after the UK ceases to join the EU (Brexit).
Recruitment negotiations are scheduled to begin later this year.
The original version of the agreement, called the Pacific Partnership (Pacific Partnership) (TPP), was signed on 4 February 2016 in Auckland, New Zealand, by 12 states in the Asia-Pacific region. (MTI)
