High demand for the Hungarian cattle in Turkey
If the increased Turkish demand for Hungarian cattle remains, that can cause prosperity in domestic cattle breeding.
The Turkish market was previously closed for animal health reasons. Until last year, very high beef prices were formed. As a response Turkey opened its gates before import beef. For the high expectations mostly the Hungarian and Baltic products are appropriate. The reason is that the domestic stocks are “three free”, ie no evidence of brucellosis, leucosis and tuberculosis infections – reports Világgazdaság Online.
