The manufactoring of plastics can bring a new sugar factory

The Rural Development Ministry is thinking about the production of environmentally friendly plasic made ​​of polylactic acid. The idea can boost the production of sugar beet and can generate the building of a sugar factory – Illés Zoltán, state secretary of the Ministry said on Friday in Szerencs.

A politician spoke about the idea – which is strictly on the level of ideas – after the signing of a drinking water project in Szerencs.
For the production of polylactic acid, sugar is needed, for the production of sugar, sugar beet is needed or other crops – such as maize – of which sugar can be obtained. It is estimated that with a 15 to 25 billion HUF investment, a production capacity can be created that can manufacture this product.  (MTI)
