MTÜ recorded record numbers for the St. Stephen’s Day series of events
The festive weekend helped thousands of businesses and hundreds of musicians and artists. The St. Stephen’s Day series atrracted nearly two million visitors. Revenues in hotels and restaurants were significantly higher than last year, the Hungarian Tourism Agency (MTÜ) informed MTI on Tuesday.
Tens of thousands of people took part in concerts and cultural events at each venue every day. Thanks to the measures of the government, the event achieved its goal, the Hungarians were finally able to celebrate together, in a dignified way and freely, the MTÜ said. (MTI)
