MTÜ: Hungarian tourism started the year well
According to the report of the Hungarian Central Statistical Office (KSH) published on Friday, foreign guests spent 4.1 percent less, domestic guests spent 4.7 percent less guest nights at domestic accommodations than a year ago, but seasonal and calendar effect adjusted, the foreign guest traffic increased by 1.7 percent and domestic guest traffic increased by 3.7 percent.
In its announcement, the Hungarian Tourism Agency (MTÜ) welcomed the fact that the revenues of the hotels increased steadily, while the SZÉP card spending increased in the first quarter. The effect of Easter and the spring break will appear in the April traffic – MTÜ drew attention. (MTI)
