MTÜ: rural restaurants can once again apply for HUF one million subsidies
Rural restaurants that did not submit an application in the previous announcement can apply for HUF one million subsidies until December 4, the Hungarian Tourism Agency (MTÜ) told MTI on Wednesday.
According to the announcement, the government has republished the call for rural restaurants open all year round of its support program aimed at increasing the competitiveness of small and medium-sized rural catering enterprises.
They pointed out that
tourism is one of the most important driving forces of the new upswing of the economy. The sector’s contribution to the national economy is more than 12 percent, and it generates more than 10 percent of the central budget’s revenues.
The sectoral support program was launched in May this year at the suggestion of MTÜ to reduce the relative competitive disadvantage of rural service providers. In this, you can apply for the purchase of tools and supplies. The support can also be used for energy and operational efficiency improvements. One million forints can be claimed per store.
The announcement quoted László Könnyid, CEO of MTÜ, who said that energy efficiency projects not only play an important role in reducing costs, but also in increasing environmental awareness.
In the program, which has been running for about 6 months, different business types could apply for support in several phases: after the year-round rural restaurants that applied in the first round, pastry shops, music and dance clubs, casual catering shops, coffee houses and catering establishments specializing in non-alcoholic drinks could apply. their needs.
