MTÜ: domestic music and dance clubs and casual catering shops can apply for support for equipment purchase and development
Approximately 200 rural casual catering shops and another 100 rural music and dance clubs can call for support worth nearly HUF 300 million. The HUF one million non-refundable subsidy that can be applied for per shop is now the third element of the HUF 13 billion subsidy program launched by the government for rural restaurants, the Hungarian Tourism Agency (MTÜ) told MTI on Monday.
In the further autumn stages of the support program, cafes, buffets, liquor stores and bars will be able to submit their requirements. In the current tender, the affected rural casual catering shops and music and dance clubs can apply from August 5 to September 5. The HUF 1 million funds that can be requested per store can be requested – in accordance with the previous sections – for the purchase of modern kitchen technology devices, for improvements that support energy-efficient and economical operation, for the purchase of smaller devices or supplies necessary for everyday operations, and can also be used for larger investments.
They remind: the support is now the third element of the program called “Increasing the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises in the rural catering industry” announced by the Hungarian government, which aims to reduce the competitive disadvantage of rural service providers due to the territorial concentration of domestic tourism. In addition, in order to further strengthen the digitalization of the tourism sector, applicants can start the application from the system of the National Tourist Information Center (NTAK), with minimal administration, in which they are also assisted by customer service.
