MTÜ: campsites and communal accommodation are also becoming more and more popular
Camping and communal accommodation are also becoming more and more popular: Germans and Poles come to our country to camp, and communal accommodation is mostly used by people under the age of 35, the Hungarian Tourist Agency (MTÜ) told MTI on Monday.
According to the data of the National Tourist Information Center (NTAK), the turnover of both campsites and communal accommodation has grown by leaps and bounds in recent years – 70 percent in the former and 140 percent in the latter – the MTÜ announced.
They added: based on NTAK data, not only the number of high-end hotels increased in 2023 compared to 2020, but also the number of campsites and community accommodations.
They went on to say that visitors to domestic campsites can choose from a variety of options, from high-quality mobile homes to tent pitches.
