MTÜ: Only safe countries can remain competitive in tourism
In the long term, only safe countries can remain competitive in tourism, as it is one of the most important aspects of selecting destinations today – Guller Zoltán, Managing Director of the Hungarian Tourism Agency (MTÜ) said in Budapest at the press conference of the organization.
He explained that in Hungary tourists spent as many guest nights until November 2017 as until the end of the year in 2016, and the year-end data was likely to approach or reach 30 million nights, which is almost 50 percent higher than in 2010. The revenue of commercial accommodations increased considerably last year by 112 percent, compared to the data of 7 years ago – he added. (MTI)
