Hotels can be the winners of the autumn long weekend, according to the data of the National Tourist Information Center, 65 percent of the booked guest nights are in hotels between October 20-23. for the long weekend between – the Hungarian Tourism Agency (MTÜ) informed MTI on Wednesday. It was pointed out that nearly three-quarters of domestic guests, while slightly more than half of foreign tourists, will stay in hotels.

They say that 4-star hotels will have the most guests. So far, nearly 350,000 reservations have been received for Hungarian accommodation, which is 7 percent more than in the same period of the previous year.

For the long weekend of October 23 (October 20-23), 324,000 guest night reservations have so far been received at the National Tourist Information Center – this is 7 percent better than last year’s pre-booking numbers. About two-thirds of the booked nights, 63 percent, come from domestic guests and 62 percent are for rural accommodations – it was detailed.

They pointed out that international guests will predominate in the capital, almost two-thirds (65 percent) of guest nights in Budapest can be attributed to foreign tourists. Accommodations in the countryside will be filled with domestic guests, 79 percent of the reservations were initiated by domestic travelers.
