MTÜ: Pentecost weekend was one of the busiest tourist seasons this year

The turnover of the long Pentecost weekend also exceeded that of Easter, the number of guest nights was 76 percent higher than last year, 240 thousand guests spent about 450 thousand guest nights in Hungarian accommodation establishments, the Hungarian Tourism Agency (MTÜ) told MTI on Friday.

According to the announcement, most people visited Lake Balaton, Mátra-Bükk, Debrecen and its surroundings, many people also came from abroad, mostly to the capital, however 69% of the turnover of accommodation establishments in the Pentecostal period was provided by Hungarians. (MTI)
