MTÜ: a legtöbb belföldi turista Pest vármegyéből indult útnak tavaly
Last year, guests spent more than 19 million guest nights in rural accommodations, most of whom traveled from the Pest county, the Hungarian Tourism Agency (MTÜ) announced based on data from the National Tourist Information Center (NTAK).
It was pointed out that two-thirds of the domestic tourist traffic applied to rural accommodation in 2023, where 74 percent come from the country.
Based on the data of the NTAK appointed by the MTÜ, Pest County had the most 1 million 248 thousand domestic tourists – not including the capital – last year, most of whom traveled to Siófok, Hajdúszoboszló and Eger. in 2023, the largest number of guest nights (3.1 million) were also spent by tourists from Pest county in the country.
The county of Győr-Moson-Sopron had the second largest number of domestic travelers, from where tourists mostly headed to Zalakaros, Balatoned and Siófok, as well as tourists from Komárom-Esztergom, which is on the third step of the podium.
