MTÜ: the number of foreign pre-bookings increased as a result of the image film about Budapest
As a result of the image film made about Budapest, the number of pre-bookings from the United States and the United Arab Emirates increased by 40 percent in the first five days after the filming, said the CEO of the Hungarian Tourist Agency (MTÜ) on Tv2’s Mokka program on Friday morning.
László Könnyid emphasized that in the month since the campaign, there has been an increase of 150,000 in the number of guest nights. In addition, the influenza film will bring guests to Budapest and thus to Hungary in both the autumn and winter periods.
The CEO of MTÜ announced about the image film made with international influencers that 50 content producers from 14 countries were brought to Hungary. For three days, they posted about more than 50 iconic locations in Budapest, thus a very massive amount of content about Budapest and Hungary was uploaded to the digital space. All this developed into a grandiose film shoot, as more than 30 hours of raw material were shot in Budapest during the three days, resulting in a large image film about Budapest, which shows the “fantastic energy that the capital city offers to its visitors”, said László Könnyid.
