MOSZ: pig-breeding is in crisis
The Hungarian pig-breeding is in crisis: the feed prices are high, while the purchase prices are so low, that sometimes do not cover the cost price – set Elected members of the National Agricultural Cooperatives and Producers' Association (MOSZ) at Tuesday's meeting of the Pig Breeders.
Soltész Gyula, president of the TESZÖV in Tolna County and the Chairman of the Naki Mezőgazdasági Zrt. told that the purchase price of a live pig is around 395-400 HUF per kilogram, while its production cost is around 407 HUF.
