Consumer protection can check everywhere

The amendment of the sectoral law, which entered into force, extends the control possibilities of the consumer protection authority to the entire supply chain, to five levels instead of the previous one, the ministry said.

It has been written that professionals can no longer act only against a seller who is in direct contact with the consumer.

In addition to retailers, inspectors may also enter warehouses, wholesalers, importers and manufacturers if an infringement is suspected against customers. (origo)
