Mol Limo: over the last three long weekends, Lake Balaton was the most popular domestic destination for Hungarians
The most popular destination for long-term domestic rentals was Lake Balaton, while for foreign rentals it was Austria; the average trip length is now reaching 300 kilometers, Mol Limo car sharing company told MTI on Wednesday, based on traffic data for the Easter, May 1 and Pentecost long weekends.
They added that among domestic destinations, Lake Balaton (Keszthely, Balatonalmádi, Siófok) stands out, as well as some large provincial cities: Miskolc, Kazincbarcika, Szeged, Debrecen, Szekszárd, Szombathely. Among foreign destinations, Austria proved to be the most popular, with Germany and Croatia tied for second place. However, domestic trips are still significantly more frequent than foreign trips.
According to the statement, Mol Limo’s popularity is increasing because the range of types and services is constantly expanding. As an example, they mentioned that Mol Limo Rent a Car was launched in early June, which offers traditional car rental solutions in a much simpler way, without a deposit, even for foreign travel, with the option of booking up to 60 days in advance via the Limo application.
The car-sharing company previously told MTI that it has more than 130,000 registered users and its fleet consists of around 600 cars.
