MOHU Budapest: the usual waste collection schedule will be in place on the last day of the year and the first day of the new year

MOHU Budapest Zrt. informs the public that it will continue to collect municipal and selective waste in Budapest and the agglomeration settlements during the New Year holiday period as usual.

MOHU told MTI on Tuesday that waste yards and Recycling Centers will welcome residents again from January 2, 2026

They added that on December 31, their employees will be working according to the usual Wednesday schedule carry out communal and selective waste collection.

The waste yards and the Attitude Formation and Reuse Centers are closed – they wrote.

The customer service office located in the Árkád Business Center is open to residents between 8 a.m. and 12 p.m. on this day, and the telephone customer service is available between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m.

They also announced that on January 1, their employees will carry out communal and selective waste collection according to the usual Thursday schedule.

All waste yards, personal customer service offices and telephone customer service will be closed on this day, the announcement states.
