New app provides mobile access to zero waste shopping

Sustainable consumption platform ZeroWasteStore (ZWS) recently introduced its new app in time for holiday shopping. Available for free on Google Play and the App Store, the ZWS app brings more than 200 brands to consumers around the world. All products sold by the store are reviewed for their sustainability, and the business itself is a member of 1% For The Planet.

All packaging is home compostable or recyclable, and users can browse by preferences that include vegan, organic, circular and plastic free. As well as convenience, other benefits of the app include special offers and discounts.

Carbon offsetting provides a carbon neutral shipping option, and in May 2021, the company launched its own range of t-shirts. By June 2021, after three years of operation, the business had donated more than €13,000 to a range of non-profit organisations.
