MNB: card payments continued to increase in the first quarter
The expansion of electronic payments continued to increase in this year's first quarter in Hungary, mainly the increase in payment card turnover was significant – according to the summary of the central bank that was published on Wednesday.
In addition to the payment card turnover growth of over 30 per cent, a 10 per cent growth occured in the total value of forint remittances as well. In the first quarter of 2016 both the turnover of VIBER and BKR indicates a decrease compared to the previous quarter. (MTI)
