MNB: new security measures do not affect the comfort of electronic payments
The new security rules, which provide double security, do not affect the speed and convenience of everyday electronic payments – Binder István, supervisor of the National Bank of Hungary (MNB) told M1 news channel on Wednesday.
He explained that e-payments are expected to have at least two security solutions – a password, an ID or a biometric device from 2018. The customers can meet the effects of increased security requirements from 2019, but strict measures will not be needed for small amounts of touch-dial or other special payments – he added. (MTI)
