MNB: Mobile application against counterfeit banknotes
Cash payment continues to dominate in the domestic trade – said Pataki Tibor, leader of the National Cash Expert Center of the Hungarian National Bank (MNB) on the first day of the Laurel Retail Conference. Thanks to the application of the Central Bank, cashiers can train themselves via smartphones.
In the fight against counterfeiting, the Bank offers a range of services for the retail sector, that are free. Banknote skills training, providing curriculum, advices to choose banknote handling machines – Pataki Tibor listed the options. Moreover, cashiers can train themselves via smartphones as the Central Bank released a newly developed application for iOS and Android platforms, from which they can gain knowledge of the security elements of banknotes.
