MNB: the new 2000 and 5000 HUF banknotes will be available from March
The new 2000 and 5000 HUF banknotes will be available from March. The security features of the new banknotes will be more modern than before, and their design will also change – the National Bank of Hungary (MNB) told MTI on Wednesday.
The currently used 2000 and 5000 HUF banknotes – issued before 2016 – will remain in retail sale by 31 July. The old 2000 and 5000 forint banknotes will be withdrawn by the National Bank of Hungary (MNB). (MTI)
