MNB: qualified corporate loans can now be applied for at four banks
K&H Bank is now offering new, preferential corporate loans, following those of OTP Bank, Erste Bank and MBH Bank, the Hungarian National Bank (MNB) told MTI on Monday.
The central bank emphasized that it considers stimulating investment activity and increasing corporate competitiveness, which has declined in recent times due to the uncertainties experienced in the global economy, as a priority goal.
In the current environment, domestic banks have maintained their strong lending capacity, which provides an opportunity to support the dynamic development of lending.
With this in mind, the central bank launched the qualified corporate loan, through which small and medium-sized enterprises can quickly and easily obtain favorable forint-based loans for their investments with transparent conditions.
The borrower can choose between variable and fixed interest rates and can obtain additional funds for a maximum term of 10 years and up to at least HUF 300 million.
According to the MNB’s expectations, qualified corporate loans will bring a qualitative improvement to the credit market, and all domestic small and medium-sized enterprises that already have plans for their next investment will be able to find the opportunity for safe growth.
