MNB: you can once again apply for the green finance science awards and the recognition of the green finance science research initiative
This year, the MNB is once again announcing a tender to support research and scientific work to encourage sustainability, as well as to recognize renowned researchers in the field. Applications for the Green Financial Science Grand Prize and the Talentum Prize, as well as the Green Financial Science Research Initiative, can be submitted until June 16, the central bank announced in its statement on Friday.
In 2021, the Magyar Nemzeti Bank (MNB) established the green financial scientific awards and created the Green financial scientific research initiative in order to encourage the support of environmental sustainability and to express its appreciation for professionals who provide outstanding green financial research performance.
The Green Finance Science Grand Prize, to be awarded every three years and this year as well, is awarded by the MNB to a specialist of Hungarian nationality who has performed outstanding green finance research based on his publication activity in recent years. The Green Financial Scientific Talent Award can be awarded to a Hungarian citizen younger than 41 years of age who, based on his publication activity in recent years, has conducted outstanding green financial research. Nominations for these two awards can be submitted to the central bank through open nominations.
