MNB: the NHP contributed to Hungary's GDP growth with more than 1 percent
The NHP is the growth credit program of the National Bank of Hungary (MNB). The NHP is supporting micro, small and medium-sized companies to access credit, to expand investments and employment.
The NHP and NHP+ has contributed to the Hungarian GDP growth with more than 1 percent over the past two years – the Central Bank told MTI on Thursday.
The MNB Bank also notes that the central bank's lending programs are temporary, so in the future, the corporate lending market must be based on the market, which will bring major challenges for the domestic banking sector. Although the central bank's lending programs halted the decline in corporate loans, a long-term lending revolution has not occurred yet. (MTI)
