MNB: Vending machines should be upgraded to accept the new banknotes
The National Bank of Hungary has called the attention of the operators of parking, ticket machines, beverage and vending machines that after one can pay with the old 2000 and 5000 forint banknotes only until 31 July.
According to the central bank’s announcement one can pay with the 2000 and 5000 forint banknotes issued before 2016 until July 31, 2017, and from August 1, only the renewed brown 2000 and yellow 5000 forint banknotes can be used for cash purchases. (MTI)
