Is it worth being among the top restaurants?
It has only been a month since El Celler de Can Roca shot to the #1 position in the World's 50 Best Restaurants list, and already the Spanish restaurant has also become one of the world's toughest tables. El Celler de Can Roca is fully booked for the next 11 months and is only offering its waiting list, according to reservations head Manel de la Rubia. He further explains that the restaurant only accepts reservations 11 months ahead of time. (It will begin booking for May 2014 on June 1, so start planning now?)
Of course, it was already pretty difficult to get a table at El Celler de Can Roca. De la Rubia explains that, before the World's 50 Best, weekend reservations were required nine to ten months in advance. Meanwhile, midweeks were more like six or seven months in advance.
