What is Bocuse d’Or worth when it’s Hungarian?
The final of the local Bocuse d’Or competition is to be held in the Hungexpo complex, during the Foodapest-UKBA 2010 exhibition. Eight competitors are expected to reach the final. The event will probably be boycotted by one half of the deeply divided Hungarian community of chefs. Apart from a substantial amount, the winner will also receive all the support required for competing successfully in the international competition, including visits to three restaurants which all have 3 Michelin stars, a meeting with Paul Bocuse and a visit to the place where the competition is to be staged. The objective is finishing in the top 12 and reaching the Lyon final.
