Magazine: What to sit on the terrace?
Terrace furniture is getting more and more sophisticated and expensive, so bar and restaurant owners are forced to make the terrace season longer. In the long run it isn’t a good strategy to make do with a cheap solution when it comes to furnishing the terrace. László Cseh, head of sales at Praktiker told our magazine that they sell a wide range of terrace furniture and can also cater for the special needs of bar and restaurant owners. Géza Pap, managing director of Impala Furniture Trade Kft. informed us that they mainly sell fake rattan and metal-frame outdoor furniture. In his view the latest international trend is vivid colours. Old and modern styles get along well and environmentally friendly recycled products are also popular. Vertical gardens are also trendy and colourful plastic furniture and accessories go really well with these. Péter Laza, interior designer of IKEA told that. IKEA’s Falster series is an excellent solution for restaurants and cafés: it looks and feels like wood but it is made from polystyrene, therefore it doesn’t require maintenance.
