About 2.6 billion HUF support to increase the number of pigs

The government favors commodity production and food processing in the agricultural strategy; in order to increase the number of pigs a 2.6 billion HUF supportis available – Kardeván Endre, Minister of State of the Ministry of Rural Development (VM) announced on Monday in Zalaegerszeg at the agribusiness conference organized by the Baki Agrocentrum Kft.

The raw material production declined for many years, competitiveness has deteriorated, so improvements are needed in the scope of the Darányi Ignác plan – added Kardeván Endre.

He described: in the last decades, the food exports declined, but Hungary has the required veterinary certificates for pork, poultry, fish meat products so Hungary was able to regain its market positions. Vietnam, Saudi Arabia, Russia has also been involved in export and the Chinese market is also open. (MTI)
