Barry Callebaut to cut around 2,500 jobs worldwide
Swiss chocolate maker Barry Callebaut is to start layoffs worldwide, resulting in a total of 2,500 job cuts – from this 500 in Belgium. Barry Callebaut wishes to streamline its operations and raise money for further investment. They will cut one job out of five over the next 18 months. The company says it needs around EUR 500m to cover higher costs.
