The Hungarian Food Bank Association delivered about 221 tons of food to the needy
The Hungarian Food Bank Association delivered about 221 tons, 790 thousand canned food to the disadvantaged families last year.
In the process of food rescue, the role of food producers has paramount importance. Bonduelle Central Europe Kft. was one of the first in Hungary to join the food rescue program in 2006 and has been supplying its surpluses on a monthly basis ever since. As part of the cooperation, last year alone, some 221 tons, or 790,000, of canned food were donated to the needy in a value of 246 million HUF – the association told MTI on Thursday. (MTI)
