The value of the Becov drink collection is about 20 million crowns
About 20 million crowns (221.4 million HUF) is the present value of the drink collection which was found in 1985 in the western Bohemian Becov nad Teplou castle.
The castle’s warden asked the experts of the Prague-based Premier Wines & Spirits to evaluate the price of the collection of 136 wine, cognac, champagne glasses.
“The price of every single bottle is 200 thousand crowns” – Tomás Wizovsky, warden of the castle said. Each glass was filled between 1890 and 1899 with mostly French origin expensive nectar. The original glass sticker was preserved on the majority of the bottles, so the origin of the drinks can be precisely identified. (MTI, Kokes János)
