Consumer confidence in the euro area and the EU deteriorated minimally in January
In the 27 Member States of the European Union, the value of the consumer confidence index fell by 0.4 points to minus 10 points in January.
After a decline following the outbreak and spread of the coronavirus pandemic, the consumer confidence index in both blocks rose above the long-term average for the first time in April last year.
