All about EUDR – a thematic page on the supervision of deforestation-free products has been launched on the Nébih website
The EU rules on the marketing of deforestation-free products (EUDR) will enter into force at the end of 2025. However, preparations for their application need to start now. To this end, Nébih, as the authority designated for implementation, will publish the most important information in a new thematic page. The professional content on the EUDR website will be continuously expanded with, among other things, guides, summaries, and fresh information.
The Regulation on the marketing of certain goods and products related to deforestation and forest degradation on the EU market and the export from the EU1 affects seven product groups: cocoa, coffee, soy, palm oil, rubber, as well as cattle and wood products. The Government has designated Nébih to implement the regulation in Hungary.
In order to ensure that all stakeholders can prepare properly, the EU has extended the implementation of the EUDR (with the intervention of the relevant economic operators and interest groups) until 30 December 2025.
The EU regulation is quite complex, but by understanding its internal logic and gaining experience in EU training and testing platforms, it will be safe to apply and follow. The Nébih EUDR page (https://portal.nebih.gov.hu/eudr) offers effective support for this, with summaries, additional aids and continuous, up-to-date information on current training and events.
