The organizers of Sziget Festival, can only calculate whether a profit has been made, after the event. But businesses can reckon on the additional economic benefits of the Festival.
The Sziget Festival attracts 350-400 thousands of visitors each year. The festival boosts the turnover of shops in the neighborhood and gives stable demand for cabbies. Cell phone operators also benefit this week: the festival visitors transact the phone traffic of a middle sized city during the event. Fuel stations also carry out good deals especially the shop offered goods – reports Népszabadaság Online.
