Every sip is a new chapter – the BB wine and champagne family is completely renewed and takes the next level
By analyzing and rethinking every stage of winemaking, the Balatonboglár-based winery is offering wine lovers a range of BB wines and sparkling wines that reflect the latest trends. With their modern, clean design, these reimagined yet traditionally crafted beverages aim to define the future direction and renewed market position of the BB brand. The company sells approximately 5.4 million bottles of wine and sparkling wine annually, making it one of the major players on the Hungarian market.
In the wine industry, rethinking and modernizing a brand is a common occurrence, typically driven by changing market trends and evolving consumer expectations. However, few companies go as far as completely renewing an entire product line, including both vinification and packaging. BB took on this bold yet promising challenge when it decided to comprehensively revamp its wine and sparkling wine portfolio.
The company chose a unique approach for the renewal, one that is, to our knowledge, unprecedented in Hungary: their professional activities have been supported by world-renowned Master of Wine James Davis, who continues to provide expert advice and recommendations to BB’s head winemaker, Bence Kácsor. The details of this exceptional collaboration and the brand transformation were presented at a press event held in Balatonboglár on July 16, 2025.
Speakers at the event emphasized that a brand renewal must always take heritage into account – the past provides a reference point – but innovation begins by having the courage to depart from it.
Regarding the goals and future expectations of the BB renewal, Kornél Müller, managing director, stated: “With the renewal of the BB wine and sparkling wine range, we committed to raising the bar in every respect. We want to offer our consumers something new, better, and more lovable. We are aligning the entire product line with the latest domestic and international trends.”
Gabriella Terleth, PR manager of the company, highlighted the holistic nature of the BB renewal process: “In general, we can say that the BB brand renewal is characterized by holistic thinking and a commitment to excellence in every area. From the start, we envisioned a comprehensive process, the result of which is a completely new, outstanding quality wine and sparkling wine family for consumers.”
The renewed product line features a sleek, elegant look, while the typography remains reminiscent of the familiar BB logo. To help with product selection, the front label includes a color code and distinctive features, and the back label displays a slider indicating the wine’s taste profile.
