Home preserving supplies sales valued at HUF 2 billion in the April 2013-March 2014 period – in the previous cumulative year the Nielsen Retail Index registered HUF 1.3 billion. Sales improved in all segments: sales growth was above 50 percent among gel fixes, preserving sugars and preservatives. In February-March 2014 the average price of preserving supplies was HUF 213 per packaging unit – in the same period of 2013 it was HUF 215. Stores with a floor space above 2,500m² increased their share from sales by 4 percentage points, while 401-2,500m² and smaller than 200m² stores both lost 2 percentage points.
