A dress for a coffee? – Video of the day
Dunkin’ teases out a mock line of “Espresso-Wear” in the video.
The humorous ad shows people wearing apparel specifically designed to hold coffee drinks from the quick-service brand — dubbed “cappu-chinos,” “Americano-veralls” and “latte-nk top.”
The commercial for the fake clothes is a lighthearted dig at other foodservice brands’ involvement in fashion, which has been a growing marketing trend within the quick-service segment.
KFC recently collaborated with Japanese fashion label Human Made to release a collection of clothing and accessories inspired by the limited-service chicken chain.
Taco Bell, which regularly builds hype among its fan base with branded apparel, has its own online “Taco Shop” to sell these items. A current offering from the chain is a line of ugly holiday sweaters.
